the end is nigh

this is my final entry for the beans after a momentous month of bean growth.  it has bean a wild ride with ups and downs.  The project has its roots in good practice and has stemed from secure knowledge.  It has blossomed into an interested project which has quite frankly leaft me tried.  Now, somebody mentioned an assignment which I will look into.  Final measurements are:

A1: 8cm

A2: 7cm

B1: 10cm

B2: 14cm

C1: 11cm

C2: 17cm

Day of the Triffids!

Help! The plants are taking over! They are eating everything in my fridge and are still hungry! Feed me Seymour!
Not really...
Here are their new measurements...
A1 - 9cm
A2 - 13cm
B1 - 8cm
B2 - 9cm
C1 - 16cm
C2 - 7cm

Amazingly, the tallest plant so far is the one in the dark, but it also looks pretty anemic and is not very full compared to the others.  It's difficult enough to measure the height in their tubes so I can't really measure their diameter.

sweet dreams

Every night, before bed, I've bean letting the beans watch this in the hope they'll grow.

Growing pains

Here's some photos and news of the beans as of 11 Nov. 08
A1 - still to appear
A2 - 4cm
B1 - 3cm
B2 - 2cm
C1 - 2cm
C2 - 1cm

Heights are fairly accurate - it's pretty hard to measure with all the card and j-cloth in the way!

We're free

Exciting news!!!
On the 6 November, the beans started to sprout.  It was a wonderful day in the Bean household with much celebration and smoking of fat cigars. It's bean a long time coming but we are proud that they are showing. There is some sad news though, bean A1 seemed to be stigmatised by having such a high-profile name and has yet to emerge.  Doctors are optimistic and we are all waiting with baited breath.
